Business Representative(s).
Full time paid representative(s) to handle
grievances; this person’s salary is directly
tied to their effectiveness in grievance
handling.
Legal Fund. Included in
your dues, the union, on behalf of the members
will bring litigation against the department
for civil rights, hostile work environment,
unfair labor practices and class actions.
This is part of your Union’s job!
Election of Stewards. You
elect your stewards and chief steward. They
will receive EXTENSIVE training in grievance
writing and grievance procedures.
Negotiators: Experienced
trained professional negotiators and attorneys
to conduct your collective bargaining negotiations.
401K. The union offers
a Taft-Hartley protected 401K to its members.
You control your own retirement!
Organizer Training. Every
member has the opportunity to be trained
in union organizing and receive a BA degree
in Labor Studies. All for free if you’re
a union member!
Health & Welfare. We
offer multi-tiered comprehensive medical,

Dues. Our dues are two
times your hourly rate per month. No initiation
fee for new groups! You get your monies
